William (Billy) Francis was born and raised in Greenville, SC, where he graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School and then Greenville Senior High School (class of ’65). He went on to Furman University before ultimately joining the US Air Force. When his military service was over, he returned to Greenville and went to work with his brothers at Francis Produce. He eventually took over the family business and became a self-made entrepreneur and investor, starting and operating a number of businesses over his career.
Billy founded Priority One Security in 1995, eventually incorporating and opening several additional security offices throughout the Carolinas. Twenty-five years of successful growth later, William continues to lead the development of Priority One’s corporate strategy, as well as the implementation and communication of our company’s vision and mission.
The youngest of six children, family has always been of great importance to Billy. Family continues to be his passion, and he enjoys spending his spare time with his them and his friends.

After studying Business Management and Psychology at Maryville College, Bill moved to Charlotte in 1996 and helped Priority One Security start up. He gained experience in nearly every position in the company—from sales and procurement, to installations and licensing—before finally assuming the role of General Manager for NC Operations, overseeing statewide residential and commercial sales, installations, and marketing.
In 2009, he relocated to Priority One’s Greenville, SC-based headquarters where he took over commercial sales company-wide, leading the sales team and managing the customer account base. As Priority One continued to grow and his responsibilities became more developmental and visionary in nature, Bill was named Vice-President of Sale and Marketing.
In addition to helping guide the direction of the company, he currently manages all company brands, distribution channels, and sales deployments. He oversees the development and evaluation of new products and services, as well as the strategies to take them to market.
When not at the office Bill enjoys spending time with his family Mikel Anne and Avery either at a Clemson athletic event, the lake or occasionally traveling. Through their involvement with various animal rescue organizations, Bill and Mikel Anne have provide a loving home for their rescue dogs.
A graduate of The Citadel in Business Administration, Peter has been with Priority One since the beginning. Today, he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our customer service, warehouse, and installation teams. As a leader, he creates and implements policies that support the company’s vision, promotes our culture of professionalism, and encourages maximum performance from each person.
Peter has previously served on the Board of Directors and as President of the SC Electronic Security Association, as well as serving in the SC Police Chief Association and on the False Alarm Reductions Committee.
His experience and expertise are critical to formulating the business strategies, plans, and procedures that keep Priority One growing and help us maintain our status on the leading edge of security service providers. With his business acumen, Peter also does extensive work on company acquisitions and the execution of transitional strategies.
Peter loves spending time with his wife and two children, and enjoys coaching youth sports and outdoor activities. An avid participant in civic organizations and community involvement, he is especially proud of his work to send underprivileged children to Camp Sertoma.
Alechia’s career in the security industry began while she was still in college at the University of South Carolina, when she worked for an accounting service that specialized in handling billing for security companies. After graduation, she went on to work directly for a security company and then started another security company based in Charlotte, NC. Finally, in 1996, she joined Bill Francis as a founding member of Priority One Security.
Alechia is responsible for managing all of the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting and analysis of data.
Alechia is married with four adult children, all of whom have graduated from either the University of South Carolina or Clemson University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake with her family, and practicing yoga to keep her mind and body in balance.
