3G Sunset UPDATE.

March 11, 2022

Call Priority One Security at 888-779-4167 and contact our office ASAP!

As you are aware, February 22, 2022, was the first shutoff date for AT&T’s 3G cellular service.  While some of our providers; SecureCom, Alrmnet360, and Telguard were able to negotiate an extension until July 2022, some were not able to do so. On February 22, we experienced our first wave of 3G communication failures.

Our Monitoring station was inundated with failure to communicate signals. Customers were calling our office to report the problem. Our Customer Service and Sales departments have been working around the clock to accommodate the last-minute hold outs. While progress is being made, it is a consuming process of resources.

The problem is real, and we ask that you take action now. While this is an industry-wide issue, we have several thousand accounts that are at risk and require a communicator or total system upgraded. We have several options to choose from and have extended some exciting promotions to help with the upgrade costs. If you have yet to do so, please contact our office today!

We have sent multiple mailers including a certified letter explaining the process. If your system was installed before May 2018 are you most likely a victim of the 3G Sunset. In efforts to avoid interruption of service, it is imperative that you contact our office ASAP.

The next important sunset dates include:

  • Verizon: December 2022.
  • AT&T: February 2022.
  • T-Mobile (Sprint): January 2022 (CDMA network) and their 4G LTE networks will retire in June 2022.
  • T-Mobile: July 2022.

We can be reached toll-free at 888-779-4167 or via email customerservice@priority1security.com. Many thanks for your cooperation.

Important Notice – Equipment Updates Required

February 11, 2021

In 2020, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave the nation’s cellular service providers the go-ahead to fully upgrade their legacy 3G (CDMA & GSM) networks to state-of-the-art LTE technologies.
Over the summer and fall, US cellular companies rolled out their timetables for complete conversion by a deadline of February 2022.

These evolving communications technologies will give us more reliable connections, faster speeds, and better features than the previous legacy networks, which is great news for our wireless world. We’ll now be able to transmit voice, video, and data at blistering speeds with clearer signals and fewer dropped calls and dead zones. As a result, however, the old 3G network is being retired and will no longer be supported by the major carriers after next year.

For most cellphone consumers, the transition to LTE technology is already underway as you upgrade to your new smartphones. For other devices that use cellular networks to communicate—devices such as your Priority One alarm system—it will be necessary to upgrade the equipment to be compatible with the new networks.

Priority One Security is reaching out to those customers with legacy communication security equipment to notify you of both the pending conversion and the need to upgrade your system to compatible technology.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we’re committed to making sure the transition to this exciting new technology is as smooth and hassle-free for you as possible.

To help ease the conversion, we’re offering a special Priority One offer of 50% OFF to service your system and replace the retired technology with an LTE communicator.

If you’ve been considering upgrading your security system instead, now is the perfect time! As part of this conversion, you qualify for $200 or more in Smart Security upgrade credits. Our ProPac platform includes
color touchscreen keypads, dual-path communicators, and encryption technologies to protect against cyber attacks. Our systems come Smart Home-ready, enabling you to add and control wireless door locks,
light modules, garage doors, thermostats, and more—all from our Total Control app.

We anticipate a last-minute surge of service calls as we approach the 2022 deadline, so we encourage you to schedule your conversion as soon as possible in order to avoid interruption of service when those networks go offline next year.

For your convenience and to help facilitate the conversion, I will be your personal Priority One coordinator. Contact me directly for assistance and to schedule your appointment. You can reach me by email at aperez@priority1security.com or my direct line is 864-335-2508. Also, please
review the FAQ’s for more information.

Thank you for your prompt reply and understanding.
Warmest Regards,
Alex Perez

Prevent Holiday Package Theft

December 12, 2017

It’s the Holiday Season. The season of giving and receiving from your loved ones. These days many people are ordering gifts online to quickly check gifts off their long Christmas lists. This growing trend of ordering online has also become popular for thieves. 23 Million people had packages stolen in 2016. How can you protect your personal deliveries and gifts from?

Priority One Security can help:

  1. Web Camera Security – Watch over your home and deliveries from your phone, tablet or computer. The camera will catch the thieves in action.
  2. Everyone should have a home security system and security sign. The Holidays are the time to return that sign to your yard and for safety should stay visible year round.
  3. Have your packages delivered to your office if possible where the packages are brought inside.
  4. Track your packages. You will receive a tracking number after your package is shipped. Be aware of when your items will arrive so you can make arrangements to be there or have a neighbor on alert.
  5. Require a signature on all packages. This is not the most convenient for us during the busy season but it will keep your packages safe.

Contact a Priority One Security Technician today to discuss the best options to keep your home, items, and loved ones safe during the Holidays. Call 888-407-SAFE (7233).
